Co-organised by the Greater Bay Area International Information Technology Association (GBAITA) and the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), the ‘Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Cross-border Data Opportunities and Challenges’ forum was held at the Auditorium of MUST in the afternoon of yesterday (16).
Focusing on the challenges and opportunities of cross-border data flow in the Greater Bay Area, the forum invited experts, academics and business representatives from the three places to share their experiences and insights.
About 150 representatives from governments, organisations and enterprises in the Greater Bay Area attended the forum. Guests of honour at the opening ceremony included Zhang Guanyu, Deputy Director General of the Economic Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (LOCPG), Lau Wai-ming, Director of the Post and Telecommunications Bureau of Macau, and Pong Kai-fu, Deputy Secretary for Economic and Technological Development of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
