Discussion with experts in the field of cybersecurity

Israel is a country with advanced computer technology. Due to geopolitical reasons, it pays more attention to cybersecurity than Macau, and the local government promotes the development of cybersecurity with public resources and policies, supports and subsidizes academic institutions in academic exploration and technological research and development of cybersecurity, and at the same time cultivates related talents, creating a perfect ecological environment for industry, academia, and research and fostering innovation among young people, The results have been remarkable. Research results and talents are often turned into products and services that actually serve the network security of society, making network security not only a scientific technology and policy, but also an economic industry. In recent years, the Israeli government has mobilized not only its own forces, but also academic institutions and private enterprises to participate in spreading cybersecurity from the national level to the whole society, and formulating policies that balance personal privacy and national security, so that cybersecurity forms an ecosystem. In addition, the cyber security experts also gave an impressive live demonstration of the methods and tactics used in cyber attacks, as well as defensive measures.

The visit enabled delegation members to learn about advanced cybersecurity technologies, solutions and successful implementation cases, as well as to exchange views with experts in related fields, which will play a positive role in the development of smart city and the coordination of cybersecurity work in Macao.
